Welcome change

Sir — It is good that that the Aam Aadmi Party, born out of Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption agitation, has finally decided to form a Government in Delhi by taking outside support of the Congress. Interestingly the new party had beaten the Congress hollow in the election on the plank of the Congress’s corruption.
An AAP Government is the need of the hour, and one hopes that Mr Arvind Kejriwal and his team deliver the goods, although it will not always get the Congress’s support nd will remain under the threat of dismissal.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party must conduct itself as a responsible opposition and stop directing barbs at the AAP. Just because the BJP is in the opposition does not mean that it must make it a habit to condemn the AAP on every issue and at every moment.
At least the AAP has shown the courage to form the Government; the BJP ran away from the responsibility although it is the single-largest party in the Assembly. Yes, it did not have a clear majority, but so doesn’t the AAP.
