Sir — This refers to the article, “More thick-skinned than any pachyderm” (May 14) by A Surya Prakash. The article sums up the character of the Congress-led UPA Government and of the so-called ‘Mr Clean’, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Corruption is destroying the nation, and it is shameful that the Congress believes it can fool and bribe the voters with schemes and come to power, irrespective of the fact that these schemes are also a means for the UPA regime to indulge in financial impropriety. The Prime Minister too has not covered himself with glory.
Unless Indian democracy matures and voters can differentiate, there is little hope for this corruption ridden, ill-governed and beleaguered nation.
