Sir — This refers to the article, “Who lives if India diesIJ” (April 15) by Pramod Pathak. Kudos to the writer for clearly analysing the protest against the recent Supreme Court judgement on the SC/ST Act. He stated that the protest was based on flimsy grounds and goes against the rule of the law. The brain behind the protest wants to show the apex court in poor light. The reality is that this protest was based on vote-bank consideration. One wonders why intellectuals, journalists and ordinary people do not question the leadership of this protest regarding its rational and moral basisIJ
