Verbal garbage

Published on:

Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Any accusation will do” (April 22). There is no doubt that the Congress is using a tit-for-tat policy to target Mr Narendra Modi. The BJP has been after Mr Robert Vadra’s land deals, much to the chagrin of the Nehru-Gandhi family. The issue is getting murkier with each passing day, with a foreign publication exposing Mr Vadra’s land dealings. By dragging in Mr Gautam Adani’s name, the Congress has humiliated the industrialist as well. It is laughable and preposterous that a man like Mr Modi, who put Gujarat on the road to glory, would sell Government land at a throwaway price. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s negligible home work is evident here.

Mr Gandhi could have at least made a few heads turn if he had not stressed on the ‘one rupee per acre’ theory and had quoted something higher. Mr Modi has knocked the living daylights out of the Gandhi family with his campaigning style and statement that the wrongs will not go unpunished.Mr Modi appears unruffled at the verbal garbage thrown at him, and is pushing ahead with a single-minded zeal to bring back lost glory to the BJP.
