Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Testing times” (March 30). Examination is a process to judge the merit of a student. However, over the past few years, the examination process itself has been mired in controversies, mainly due to leaking of question papers. The Government should look into the matter seriously. While public awareness is a must, we must also make our students understand the adverse effects of such practices. A thorough an investigation into the paper leaks and fitting punishment to the culprits can put a stop to this self-defeating practice.
