This refers to the editorial, “An unacceptable bargain” (July 23). Elderly statesmen are not always wise statesmen. They can become senile and spew confused or even dangerous comments. That senior Congress leader and former Home Minister P Chidambaram is losing his mind is perhaps the most charitable explanation for his remarks about Kashmir.
