It has not just nuclear weapons but also the strategic support of China and others. Now, it even has some Russian weapons that it had been denied for decades by Russia. America has also outsourced the security of Afghanistan to Pakistan. It has rewarded Pakistan with billions of dollars in aid.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is free to attend the multilateral meeting of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation in Pakistan next year, but he absolutely must not engage Islamabad on bilateral issues, given Pakistan’s relentless border violations and non-stop anti-India activities.
