Sir —This refers to news reports that well-known film actor Raza Murad has praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for sporting a skull cap. The Bollywood actor is in a controversy over his remarks that are also seen as being critical to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. Political leaders with secular credentials, keeping public sentiments in mind, accept everything that is offered to them as a token of reverence.
BJP leader Uma Bharti’s comment that Murad is a ‘third grade’ actor, is unfair. The actor has as of now worked in over 300 films and played many memorable characters on the screen.
