Sir — This refers to the report, “Omar talks of ‘alienation’ in J&K” (August 16).
This is a shocking statement from the Chief Minister of a State which enjoys ‘special status’. It is ironical that, while the Government falls over backwards to appease the State and its leaders, many of whom are known to be pro-Pakistan, Mr Omar Abdullah says that we mete out “differential treatment” to Kashmir!
