Sir — BJP leader Ram Madhav’s comments on the Vice President’s absence from the Yoga Day celebrations in New Delhi on Sunday, are unacceptable. Mr Ram Madhav also tried to communalise the situation. Mr Madhav has since retracted his comment but, he should still call a Press conference, acknowledge that he was ill-informed about the procedures and protocols of Government, and issue an unconditional apology. There is no midway out of this mess. The dignity of the Vice President’s Office is at stake.
