Ulterior motives

Sir — This refers to the report, “Cong launches fresh attack on BJP over Raza’s resignation” (July 17).

One is tempted to believe that well-known theatre person and Delhi BJP vice-president Aamir Raza Husain must be having his own agenda other than his stated reason for his resignation. That should explain his sudden outburst of conscience.

It requires only basic intelligence to understand that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi never equated Muslims to ‘puppies’. In reality, it was the media and the Congress leaders who brazenly tom-tommed the ‘puppy’ analogy in the context of the minority community. Such distortion is neither good politics nor sound journalism. It is something dirty and sinister.
