Sir — Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha’s scathing criticism at the state of the Indian economy might have been discomforting for the party, especially for Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, but surely, it is clear that demonetisation and the roll out of the Goods and Services Tax were not planned properly.
Sinha is one of the brightest financial minds in the country and his forthright and honest assessment of the Indian economy should spur the Government for course-correction. The current Government should focus on bringing the economy to a good health.
