This refers to the article, “Nitish’s next challenge: Managing lalu Prasad” (November 18) by Rajesh Singh. Corruption and itchy palms will prove to be Mr Nitish Kumar’s undoing as his new-found allies have never known anything better than dubious means to make hay while in power. They will be pulling hard at the reins right from the swearing-in ceremony onwards.
The sharing of ministerial posts and the loaves of office will be just the starting trouble. And, never forget the Congress, which always acts like the tail wagging the dog, with its grandiose illusions that the Bihar victory of the grand alliance was fashioned only by the great campaign of its own leader, Mr Rahul Gandhi. Mr Nitish Kumar may well live to regret his dislike of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
