Sir — This refers to the article, “Section 377 and why it should go” (July 13) by Kushan Mitra. People from the lGBTQ community have suffered much. It’s high time they get the same rights as other individuals. Decriminalising homosexuality will be a giant step towards delegitimising an idea whose time has come. They must be treated as equals.
