Too much to expect

Sir — This refers to the article, “India’s forgotten nationals” (July 22) by Hari Om. It is high time that the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre and the National Conference-Congress combine in Jammu and Kashmir take cognisance of the plight of the Hindu refugees from West Pakistan.
The least it can do is to grant these ‘stateless’ people full citizenship rights and help them lead a life of dignity. However, given the mindset of the leaders in Kashmir and in New Delhi, who are more interested in rehabilitating terrorists, it would be too much to expect them to do justice to the West Pakistan refugees.
