Sir — This refers to the article, “Indian liberalisation 2.0” (June 22). The latest reforms in the foreign direct investment (FDI) policy by the Modi Government was timely. After last week’s decision to partially roll back the 5/20 rule and other great initiatives in the civil aviation sector, a 100 per cent FDI in aviation will surely take the aviation sector to a different sky altogether in the near future.
Since this initiative will have multiplier effect, hopefully, it will also generate employment. A 100 per cent FDI in defence sector too will boost our defence manufacturing sector.
