Sir — This refers to the article, “Old parties now face new politics” (May 21) by JS Rajput. It is amazing that Congress leaders do not understand even now that Mr Narendra Modi has completely changed the perception of the people regarding Indian politics. Mr Manmohan Singh should, at least now, understand that serving the nation is far glorious a task than serving an individual.
What is being expected from the incoming Government of and by the common man is simply good governance, control on prices and creation of employment. All of that had been given the go-by in the outgoing regime.
The so-called secular parties should introspect. Promoting false claims on development and raising the bogey of communalism will not meet the purpose.
