Sir — This refers to the editorial, “let law take its course” (September 4). Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, arrested for allegedly indulging in immoral activities will rightly face action now. But it is incumbent upon the police to present a water-tight case and, the courts to fast-track the trial and administer justice expeditiously.
Also, it is unfair to tar the entire community of religious seers with the same brush by citing the instance of Asaram Bapu. There are many selfless and genuine seers who shun publicity and quietly serve mankind, unlike their more wordly-wise counterparts who exploit the simpleton in the name of religion.
