The failure of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) Government to end the strike by the bureaucrats of its Government and their unusual protest in the lounge of the lt Governor's office beseeching him to end the strike is the most preposterous thing any sane Government could do.
The AAP Government should apologise to the Chief Secretary for the shameful assault on him by AAP ministers at the residence of the Chief Minister and find a graceful end to this episode instead of knocking at the door of the lt Governor. The anarchist strain in AAP has been evident right from the time they assumed office. The goons from AAP took the police to various areas and demanded the arrest of certain people without any charges or a scrap of evidence of any wrong doings and then later turned on the police when they refused to comply with such arbitrary instructions. longstanding norms and conventions have been ignored and Delhi now has a shambolic and crotchety administration that is unable to bring about any changes or carry on administering with dignity. AAP has betrayed the entire electorate that voted it to power.
A serious transformation of AAP and its leadership is required. They should rein in their notoriously foul mouthed ministers and party men if they want chance at winning the next elections.
