Sir — This refers to the article, “Empowering our farmers” (June 17) by Ajit Kumar. Our farm sector can prosper only when it is given a status at par with the industry. To achieve this, a second green revolution is long over due and that can take place only when modern technology is adopted for agriculture. Efforts must be made to spread newer technology and scientific research to the field.
