Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Fresh troubles for lalu” (June 22). If the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief lalu Prasad feels that he and his family are being hounded by Income Tax officials due to vendetta politics then why is he running away and skipping summons by the Income Tax departmentIJ If his conscience is clean then he should not fear anyone. That is not the case as he knows it very well that he is guilty.
There is no smoke without fire, and it is wise of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to stay away from all this despite lalu Prasad being his alliance partner in the Government.
