Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Ironman returns” (May 14). At 92, Mahathir Mohamad is back in the saddle in Malaysia as the world’s oldest elected leader. His spectacular win is ample proof that Malaysians still repose immense faith in him and that he is capable of playing a transformative role. The veteran, however, has an uphill task of living up to people’s expectations. It would be interesting to watch his new innings.
