Sir — This refers to the editorial, “It’s both funny and sad” (December 31). I fully agree with the views expressed in the editorial. Mr Gopal Subramanium, a former Solicitor General with a high legal standing, has done no credit to himself by accepting the Aam Aadmi Party Government’s appointment to probe the affairs of the Delhi & District Cricket Association. On the top of it, he has sought the National Security Advisor’s help.
His actions are silly, to say the least. Mr Subramanium must know that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself is in a daily confrontation with the Union Government. Perhaps, Mr Subramaniam has joined Mr Kejriwal to avenge his own grievance as his appointment to a top post in the judiciary had been scuttled by elements in the Union Government.
