Since the coming of the UPA regime, the BJP has been haranguing about the status that the Nehru-Gandhi family enjoys in the Government. But, after Mr Narendra Modi's elevation as the party's Election Campaign Committee chief, the BJP too has adopted the ossified practice where it is considered blasphemous to talk against the poster boy/girl of the party.
Many senior party leaders have been issued a warning over speaking directly or indirectly against Mr Modi. The latest casualty is Mr Shatrughan Sinha. Even Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been an indirect target of the pro-Modi elements within the party.
If the sycophants of the Congress have zero tolerance to criticism of the Nehru-Gandhi family, the BJP too is developing a similar trait, with Mr Modi being treated as more pious than the Pope. Come on, we've had enough of the Nehru-Gandhi family dictatorship; we don't wish to see the BJP repeating the act.
