Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Salahuddin hypocrisy” (July 5). It is indubitably true that Pakistan is always callous and indifferent to the statement the US authorities make. It can absorb and withstand any aggressive and reviling remark on its act of abetting terrorism and extremism. No doubt, besides the US, India has untinted support and sympathies from other powerful countries too. But no country can extend instant help and cooperation when our country is in dire distress, when attacked by terror outfits. It is not desirable to expect external help to contain, curb and neutralise the force of extremism and the activities of militants in Kashmir valley.
