Sir — This refers to the article, “What America must do after Orlando” (June 22) by Deepak Sinha. Concerns expressed by the author are known and understood by the citizens in the US. US President President Obama too has advocated strict gun laws on several occasions, but has been helpless in implementing any control measure.
US Senators have once again nipped another attempt to control gun laws in the aftermath of carnage in Orlando. On the other hand, the National Rifle Association has lobbied heavily against all forms of gun control. If Senators are keen to defeat such measure, what can others do about itIJ
