Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Big mockery of justice” (April 12). Might is right, goes the adage. When we remain stronger, we are soft, merciful and charitable towards Pakistan. As soon as the foe gains strength, it knows no mercy or reason. Our history is replete with such incidents. We pardoned Mohammad Ghori 16 times. On the 17th occasion, when he got the upper edge, we were enslaved for centuries. We lost a large chunk of the land to the new converts who had donned the robes of Ghori. It is strength alone that will bring the other side to reason.
