Sir — This refers to the recent incursions by Chinese troops at Chumar and Demchok. It is entirely our fault that we have been pushed around by China for all these years. After the humiliation of 1962, we have had five decades to build a strong defence against China. Yet, successive Governments have slept through and hoped that appeasement would work. The Chinese understand strength, not politeness. We still have time to build our defence to thwart any possible Chinese threat.
