Sir — It is still early to say anything about Government formation in Jammu & Kashmir. Meanwhile, elected members should not lose sight of their constituencies. The members should devote their time and energy in developing their areas, get problems like paucity of water and electricity, and poor conditions of roads, resolved from the authorities concerned.
They should not seem to be disappearing from the scene after being elected, and for the reason that the shape of the next Government is as yet not clear. Any slackness will be viewed seriously by the electorate. This perception can work to the disadvantage of the newly-elected representatives of the people. They should avoid committing mistakes as were done by the BJP in Delhi. They should instead be seen more interested in tackling problems they can even in the absence of a Government. Good work definitely gets rewarded.
