Sir — This refers to the article, “Religious unity can tackle terror” (July 11). In India, persecution for religious beliefs was unknown till the Muslim conquests. We respected all religions and beliefs. However, Islam changed everything. Intolerance, hatred and persecution of all those who do not follow Islam became the norm. Most Muslims refuse to live in peace with the followers of other religions.
