Sir — This refers to the report, “Centre takes hard line on hardliners” (September 7). It is beyond logic that for years, the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir, the Union Government and the State Government, have been spending hundreds of crores of rupees on separatist enemies, funding various facilities such as foreign travel, housing, etc, and on security. It must be the rarest of rare case of a soft state ensuring prosperity and well-being of its tormentors. Finally, when the all-party delegation visited Srinagar, to help restore peace in the valley, they suffered humiliation. Hardline decisions must be implemented quickly to cut Pakistani patriots to their size.
