Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Demonetisation blues” (September 1). Ever since the figures of the Reserve Bank of India came in the public domain, the media is abuzz with discussions and talk shows on the positives and negatives of the whole demonetisation exercise. Meanwhile, Union Minister for Finance, Arun Jaitley is often on the backfoot, explaining the long-term positive outcomes of demonetisation. However, in my opinion, even if the Government has failed on black money, a very positive outcome is the redistribution of money. lot of stalked cash, which was unaccounted for, has reached the hands of poor.
