Sir — This refers to the article, “Rahul Gandhi is no reluctant politician” (April 24) by Kaushik Deka. The Gandhi-scion says that India’s problem can’t be solved by one man or one family. I just want to tell Mr Gandhi that every problem has a solution.
The Nehru-Gandhi family has ruled the country for the maximum period after Independence. Being in power, the Congress-led UPA Government has failed miserably to solve the basic problems faced by the people.
Mr Gandhi’s party and the Government it leads at the Centre is more involved in different scams and corruption cases, than in mitigating the sufferings of the common man.
The young Congress vice president should come forward and take the initiative to find solutions to the problems troubling the people and the nation. Visiting homes of Dalits, breaking bread with them and spending a night at their abode, will not bring things on track.
