Silly decision

Sir — Having secured only 28 out of 70 seats in Delhi Assembly election, the Aam Aadmi Party continues to arrogantly condemn the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress as corrupt, thereby insulting those who voted for these two parties.

AAP leaders have demonstrated a confusing behaviour in this context. First, they said they would neither give support to nor take support from either the BJP or the Congress. Then they send an 18-point agenda to both the parties, seeking a response. In other words, they are now willing to consider taking support from outside. The Congress has already pledged support.

Even if the Aam Aadmi Party, by abusing the two major political parties, is able to manipulate people’s opinion in its favour, can it be allowed to form a Government within the meaning of constitutional provisionsIJ leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party deserve to be advised on how to observe civility in their behaviour towards other political parties. The AAP must remember that the BJP and the Congress together represent a far bigger section of the Delhi electorate than it does.
