Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image has been built on two virtues: Honesty and decisiveness. But his reaction to the lalit Modi scandal has been one of silence and inactivity. Mr Modi should learn from the failures of his predecessor Manmohan Singh, even as he refuses to emulate some of his successes.
