Sir — The comments by lok Sabha MP Hema Malini, on Vrindavan widows, are in poor taste. It is surprising that an elected woman representative should have made such remarks on widows who are already suffering for want of affection. Most of the widows who stay at Vrindavan have been discarded by their children. They need solace and sympathy, Vrindavan gives them that feeling.
