Sir — This refers to the article, “Wayward MPs bring infamy to Parliament” (March 28) by A Surya Prakash. Force of the law of the land must be applied to discipline Shiv Sena MP, Ravindra Gaikwad, who misbehaved with an Air India staffer.
Our democracy would be humbug unless accountability is upheld, irrespective of the power, position and privilege of the Shiv Sena MP. People elect leaders so that they humbly serve this country. Their statutory responsibility is to translate the will of the people. leaders must, therefore, restrain themselves from such obnoxious behaviour.
