Sir — Except for his initial reactions expressing shock and denying any wrongdoing, former Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly has not said much, ever since a former law intern levelled charges of sexual harassment against him.
If he is not guilty, why has Mr Ganguly not initiated legal proceedings against his accuserIJ A young woman would not have charged a distinguished person of such a serious crime without basis.
Now that a panel appointed by the Chief Justice of India to probe into the allegations, has submitted its report after hearing both parties, the Chief Justice must make the findings public and reveal if there is prima facie case against Mr Ganguly. The judiciary’s credibility is at stake, and prompt action is needed.
