Sir — This refers to the article, “Hold Amartya Sen accountable” (February 25) by Priyadarshi Dutta. The aura created around Mr Sen does not seem to match his actions as the Chancellor of Nalanda University.
The Government must not be deterred by the criticism it has received from some quarters for not renewing Mr Sen’s term at the university. Instead, it should order an inquiry into the alleged financial irregularities during Mr Sen’s term. Persons in high positions cannot escape accountability.
