Period” (June 14) by Padma Rao Sundarji. US gaming major Mattel has replaced a dignified adult game of traditional Scrabble with a gaudy childish format of bright colours and childish symbols which is a carbon copy of other games available on Facebook. One will not go into the many inferior aspects of the new game as this, perhaps, is not the platform to do so.
The writer has voiced the opinions of many, many thousands of Scrabble players all over the world for which we thank her.
