Sir — In the 2G Spectrum case, then Union Minister for Telecommunications and Information Technology A Raja maintained that he had kept both the Prime Minister and the Union Minister for Finance informed of the decisions he had taken. His plea for an opportunity to explain the same to the Joint Parliamentary Committee that was looking into the scam was turned down by the JPC Chairman.
Now, in the coal scam, former Coal Secretary PC Parakh has pointed fingers at the Prime Minister for alleged wrongdoing. Mr Parakh is perfectly justified in saying the conspiracy, if indeed it is so, cannot exclude the Minister in charge then, which was Mr Manmohan Singh.
