Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Aruna Shanbaug and now” (May 19). Aruna Shanbaug symbolised much that is wrong with society. The only saving grace in this situation has been the determination of her colleagues, the KEM Hospital nurses, who didn’t discard the comatose victim and cared for her for 42 years.
