Sir — After a hike in rail passenger fare, freight rates and sugar import duty, the price of petrol, diesel and non-subsidised lPG too has gone up. It makes no sense to cry foul over the price rise of essential commodities.
The Government’s policies at the States and the Centre are enough to induce a price rise. Prices do not stabilise at least for sometime after they rise. The question of fall in price is inconceivable. People believe that we still have a UPA Government with an NDA mask.
