Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi” (March 20). By electing Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has risked its mandate. It seems, for the BJP, academic qualifications or administrative credentials do not matter. And to them, Yogi Adityanath possibly symbolises the combination of spiritual and worldly power that the BJP aspires to.
