Sir — This refers to the editorial, “lesson for Pakistan” (December 18). The massacre of 132 innocent children in a Peshawar Army school on December 16 is a grim reminder of a terrorism-infested situation in a country which has been nurturing terror elements over the years. These young students paid with their lives for the stupidities that Pakistan’s political establishment has been indulging in, since long. For Pakistan, this is time for introspection and option also to choose either life or death. Pakistan should stop patronising terrorists against India and its own people.
Pakistan should learn from its neighbours like India and China, which have made great economic strides and are known as Asian economic superpowers. Only economic prosperity can save Pakistan, hence the rulers should concentrate on public issues rather than on imaginary threats from India.
