Right choice

Sir — Placating veteran leader lK Advani seems to have become something of a full-time job for many senior BJP leaders who are fighting the election this time. Mr Advani has to understand that the country’s voters want to listen to Mr Narendra Modi and that they are eager for change. 

Mr Advani has made no secret of his frustration over the party’s choice of Mr Modi as its prime ministerial candidate. Mr Advani had a simple choice to make at the time of Mr Modi’s elevation: He should have called it a day. However, he did not do that — unfortunately.
