In times as these, where corruption has been institutionalised and where the politician-mafia nexus is de rigueur, it is rare to find an honest officer like Durga Shakti Nagpal who can bravely take on the system.
There were huge expectations when Mr Akhilesh Yadav took over as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, but he has failed his supporters miserably. The least he can do to make amends is to accept that injustice has been done to Ms Nagpal. He must revoke her suspension and reinstate her. By doing so, he will earn the goodwill of all.
