Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Citizenship rights” (August 1). At the end of the day, it is the illegals who will have to face the consequences. For the Rohingyas, Bangladesh is negotiating with Myanmar and is curious to repatriate them back. Similarly, that country should have no objection in taking back these illegal immigrants.
However, the problem, as such, erupted due to the inception of Pakistan, turning a portion of Bengal as foreign territory. If these Bangladeshis are keen to reside in Assam, they should start a movement for reuniting it with Bharat.
