Sir — In the democratic system that we follow, the Prime Minister is supposed to be elected by the MPs of the largest party in the lok Sabha. The idea is to choose a person who has won a seat. A person who has not won a lok Sabha seat should not be considered at all.
Also, let’s not waste time, public money and effort to project one person as the prime ministerial candidate. Rather, the voters must exercise their franchise wisely and elect worthy candidates who are deserving of the country’s top post.
