Sir — This refers to the article, “Waiting for Maoists to encircle Delhi” (July 3) by Ashok K Mehta
. This is a timely wake-up call for New Delhi to put in place a strong mechanism to tackle the Red threat. If the Government fails to deal with the Maoist menace appropriately and with a strong hand, then pretty soon India will go the Nepal way. The electorate too needs to vote out pro-Maoist candidates and parties in the next election.
